Slouchy

This is just a simple/comfy outfit i wore to work today :)

Sometimes i hate getting dressed for work as the aircon is always on and im always freezing!
It really does limit my outfit choices, and usually i can't go without a jacket or a cardi which can be annoying at times.
I honestly think that even if it were minus degrees outside, the aircon would still be on.

i got this grey cardi from new look when i was back in the uk last year. I love how oversized and slouchy it is. It's one of them pieces that work perfect for layering!

oversized knit - new look
skirt - valleygirl
top - valleygirl
wedges - asos
backpack - thrifted
headscarf - thrifted

im rather pleased with this skirt.

i popped into valleygirl just the other day for a quick browse when i found it.
It's like a jersey tulip skirt and it was only $10!
valleygirl is good for cheap finds every so often.
I think that it's one of them places you can either find something great, or nothing at all in, so i was very lucky!

:)

Ooohh and I also got this backpack from an Op shop yesterday. i am super duper happy with it as i have been looking for one like it for soooo long!!! The tan colour is perfect for summer, and it offers me a bit more space than some of my other bags.

Speaking of bags, has everyone seen the Olympia Le Tan book bags??

Clemence Poesy was carrying one at the Harry Potter Premiere, and Natalie Portman had one at the Black Swan premiere...

I am really the biggest nerd at heart, so i am dying to own one of these!!!
I think they are seriously amazing!!

What do you all think???

  13. Looks to me like that book bag would be achievable in a DIY project. Just needs the right kind of glue, a veeeery sharp craft knife and maybe some lacquer to make it sturdier?

You look great - the oversized cardi is brilliant.

At my work it 's always HOT. The thermostat never falls below 23 C / 73 F and I always have to shed all my layers once I am in the door. Whatever happened to the golden middle? ;)

  21. OMG! I can FULLY relate to the A/C being on at work! It's meant to be 26 today so I'm wearing a sleeveless top, but they have the AC on before I get to work so it's absolutely freezing (i currently have goosebumps).

I tend to wear scarves at work even when it's 30 outside and everyone thinks i'm weird.

Anyway enough of my complaining. this is a cute outfit, i love it. valleygirl has some lovely bargains lately, i used to avoid going in there but lately i've been enjoying their cheap tops!x

  37. OH MY GOD, i totally kno what you mean about being cold at work. So many nice outfits...so freaking cold i can show any of them, however my problem is that i work in a vintage shop and in winter the customers leave the door open and i only have a tiny gas heater. SUX. But same problem tho. Love your layering, you still look good gal! peace out.xx
